Il·lustració de Salut mental amb un doctor i una pacient

Mental health is an aspect that often overlaps with intellectual disability. Historically, it has been viewed as being on a lower level than the intellectual disability as such, or as an inevitable consequence of intellectual disability. In order to improve their quality of life, there is a need to foster a different, updated approach to the people with intellectual disability who are also affected by mental health problems.
