On February 2, 2023, a conference will be held to present the booklet “Mental Health and Intellectual Disability“ by Granés Fundació and the Catalan Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health, and the brochure “Mental Health is Everyone’s Business“ from Dincat; at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Lleida from 10 AM to 11:30 AM.
The event is aimed at healthcare professionals from the non-specialized mental health network. The materials aim to raise awareness among the healthcare sector about the specific mental health needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities who are usually attended to within this network and other non-specialized healthcare facilities, as well as other healthcare and social sector professionals. The conference will also be broadcast via streaming.
The event will feature an inaugural panel with the participation of ALLEM, Sant Joan de Déu, the Catalan Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health, Aspros, Granés Fundació, and Dincat. Following this, the materials for “Mental Health and Intellectual Disability” will be presented by a representative from Sant Joan de Déu, and “Mental Health is Everyone’s Business” by Israel Belchi from Dincat.
The event also includes a first-person experience panel with the participation of a professional and an individual with intellectual disability from Aspros and Sant Joan de Déu. Finally, the event will conclude with a Q&A session.
