«Dancing Madness» is a documentary that tells the story of three contemporary dancers who spend a few days with three young women diagnosed with a mental health disorder to reflect together on how treatment and recovery are experienced. From this experience and their previous choreographic work, they create a contemporary dance piece to express it through dance and fight against the prejudice and stigma that often surrounds mental health issues. The audiovisual work was produced with the support of various entities and institutions, including Granés Fundació.

The documentary won the Audience Award last October at the Chorescope dance and film festival, and participated in DOC.España, the competitive section of the Valladolid International Film Week.

The dance performance “J-AhO! II” is a dance piece featuring three women who embark on a journey into individual and collective madness. It stems from a reflection on the boundary between sanity and madness. From this question arises the need to share the creative process with people who have experienced or are experiencing some type of mental health disorder, seeking real experiences that bring authenticity to the creation.

Granés Fundació organizes a film forum, a dance forum, and a regular screening to present “Dancing Madness”:
