It has been months of hard work, but we are very satisfied with the final result, and we can say that, thanks to this research, we have an overview of the situation of intellectual disability in the various life areas of the community.
Based on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the report compiles objective data showing trends, perceptions, and aspirations of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, while also including reflections based on the expertise of academics and professionals in the sector, where the major challenges to be addressed are identified to guide public policies aimed at this group.
