1st Conference On Inclusive Sport And Future Challenges

1st Conference on Inclusive Sport and Future Challenges

The 1st Conference on Inclusive Sport kicks off at 6.30 pm on 18 November. It has been organised by the Granés Foundation with the aim of advancing knowledge in the field of inclusive sport. The conference seeks to foster a dialogue among the different experts in the sector of sport for people with disabilities, creating a working space for generating knowledge about fully inclusive sport while also helping to share this information with sports clubs and social organisations.

The 1st Conference on Inclusive Sport begins with a focus group of experts followed by an open debate among interested audiences, which will be available to follow online. This is the first event in a series of debates that the Granés Foundation has planned as a springboard to the generation of sound and useful knowledge that can be applied to help ensure full enjoyment of the human rights detailed in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which Spain signed in 2007.

The conference will be streamed at www.granesfundacio.org, with sign language interpreters and subtitles in Catalan and Spanish.

The content of the conference centres on an open debate that will be streamed at www.granesfundacio.org to allow viewers to watch and participate in the event. Prior to the debate, a focus group of experts will discuss the topic.
